⌠Snow is Falling■ is one more portion of those evergreen hits from the Soviet epoch. And the most evergreen one of all ⌠A Soldier Walks Through the City■ (music by V Shainsky, lyrics by M. Tanich). The soldier just keeps on going- ⌠over the unknown street■- and can't stop. Unfortunately. One more song, ⌠I'll Get Off at the Farthest Station■ not only charmingly reflects the escapist air of that epoch, but can be rather well identified with our time as well. Who said that Soviet showbusiness then was a ⌠glazed reality■? If you listen carefully to the disk from the ensemble Flame, you might just be convinced of the opposite.
